Sarah Linville with Blaze in the mountains of Sun Valley

There are dozens of human-caused avalanches every season in Idaho, and while ski resorts do their best to mitigate and prevent these dangers, they still happen, and that's why Sun Valley has an incredible pup named Blaze ready to jump into action.

“Blaze holds a lot of responsibility," Sarah Linville said of her hard-working canine. "We expect a lot of him and train him to mentally realize the scenario he's in and to know when he's working and when he’s not.”

Rescued from a local shelter (where he was returned twice), it turned out that Blaze loves to find things.  He found his calling working with the Sun Valley Avalanche Team and now spends his winters rescuing humans!

Sarah understands what it takes to keep her body nourished for the rigorous winter conditions in the mountains, and she holds the same standard of healthy eating when it comes to feeding her four-legged partner, Blaze.
