Anna Hall And Emma

Nulo partner, Anna Hall, is a 2023 World Championships silver medalist in the heptathlon. She’s also the North American indoor record holder in the pentathlon, a three-time U.S. National Champion, and a two-time NCAA Division I Champion, representing the University of Florida. The combined track and field events require an incredible level of focus, especially when coming back from injuries, as Anna did leading up to her participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she placed fifth.

A big part of her recovery was the consistent support of her yellow lab, Emma. After Paris, Anna added to her pet family, by adopting a new puppy, Cross. Anna sat down with our team to share more about her journey as a heptathlete and dog mom.

How has Emma provided comfort and motivation for you in your career?

By always being there as my best friend. Months ago, I had knee surgery, and my parents made sure to drive her to me, and she would not leave my side. No matter what happens, she's always excited to see you.

Why is making sure Emma has a nutritional diet important to you?

It's something that's important to me, too. I'm very cautious of what I put into my body. I want to live a long, healthy life and I want the same thing for Emma. She's (my family's) best friend and we want her around for a long time.

What does training look like for you in-season and off-season?

In-season, training is very time-consuming. Typically, I'll wake up, start my morning routine, and be at the track for three hours. After an hour break for lunch, I'll return to the track for another three hours, start my recovery & relaxation, and repeat.
