“For me, I don’t find there’s a whole lot of places worth visiting or things worth doing if I can’t bring my dogs. Dogs are so incredibly present in each moment and each day and each experience that it becomes contagious when you spend every waking moment with them. You start to see the joy in the smallest things, in the simplest things…and I owe that outlook to my dogs entirely. So it only seems fair to give them the greatest life I possibly can.” – Brianna Madia
When your dogs are your children, there is literally nothing you wouldn’t do for them – their health and happiness at the forefront of your daily priorities. This rings true for Keith and Brianna Madia, self-proclaimed desert dwellers and parents to Bucket and Dagwood.
Keith and Brianna adopted the van-life a few years ago and every day has been nothing short of an adventure since. They live by the motto “never leave the dogs behind”, so their family of four is always adventuring somewhere in their huge orange van named Bertha. Whether it’s cozying up for a cold desert night or leading the way through canyon walls, Bucket and Dagwood are right there, by Keith & Brianna’s side (or laps or shoulders).
They roam the desert, run alongside Bertha, hike, hunt, bury bones and chase desert creatures. They are happiest when they’re free to explore for endless hours, which is why they need a food that can fuel them for their long days of adventure. Bucket and Dagwood are natural athletes and Nulo gives them the nutrition they need to fuel their energy.
The Madia’s epitomize what it means to be healthier together, because together, they are their best selves.
