We need an inspiring Field Marketing Director guru to help us lead the dog and cat food revolution with smart nutrition and better products—and to do it with authenticity and creativity. We’re pushing the boundaries, and we need the type of field marketing enthusiasts that will push them with us.
The Field Marketing Director is responsible for building and executing field marketing plans and programs that align with our brand strategies, maximize opportunity for consumer engagement, and connect the Nulo brand to local communities and retailers in an authentic and inspiring way. You’ll be actively managing one of the single biggest investments that the company is making to capture consumers – our field force of Brand Ambassadors, Demo Reps and Store Merchandisers.
Build buzz around this lifestyle brand through the use of effective and strategic field marketing tactics;
Grow and develop a Field Marketing infrastructure to support the Company’s rapid expansion;
Direct the recruiting, hiring, training, management and performance reporting of a rapidly growing team of Brand Ambassadors, Demo Reps, and Merchandisers to support the execution of Nulo’s field marketing activities nationwide;
Motivate & build a tenacious, dynamic and effective field team to help company achieve and exceed sales targets;
Utilize field team to help Marketing ensure consistent brand presence in the field;
Help grow brand identity and promote advocacy at retail and consumer levels;
Manage and report on Field Marketing budget;
Report regularly on, and be accountable for, the effectiveness of the field marketing team.
Events and Field Marketing
Develop a nationwide event marketing strategy that utilizes Brand Ambassadors and Demo Reps to engage consumers and retailers;
Identify and engage with events that align with brand/lifestyle strategy, build consumer awareness and create advocacy at the retail and consumer levels;
Working with our sales team tie field-marketing initiatives and events to retail locations, leveraging these activities to influence velocity at shelf;
Work with our corporate marketing team to support & enhance the execution of marketing events and programs;
Regularly monitor and report on store performance at major retailers;
Analyze field force effectiveness and adjust for coverage, frequency and engagement as needed to meet consumer engagement, advocacy, and sales goals.
Merchandising and Trade Shows
Work with Trade Marketing and Creative teams to build portfolio of POP / fixtures / displays for needed stores;
Identify and troubleshoot any product placement and/or retailer fulfillment inconsistencies, packaging issues, or store associate training opportunities;
Manage the installation of brand assets through outside vendors and reps;
Work with Trade Marketing to implement SuperZoo and Global trade shows.
A Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business, and/or related fields.
Minimum 5 years field/event/grassroots marketing management (beverage/natural channel a plus);
Prior success in a marketing role in a high-growth Consumer Products company and/or start-up environment;
A passion for natural food/beverage/pet;
Extremely flexible and enjoy a ‘high-change’ environment where priorities shift often;
Strategic agility (developing and deploying strategies);
The drive to deliver results paired with a continuous sense of urgency;
An ability to relate to our active lifestyle positioning and our ‘food as fuel’ philosophy;
A love for all things pet retail, active lifestyle, and pets.
